Our History
Since 2002, Impact Solutions has helped businesses understand, test and improve materials and products.
What began as a specialist materials testing laboratory has evolved into a UKAS-accredited testing laboratory and innovation centre. Today, we combine independent testing, analytical expertise and technical innovation to help businesses overcome complex material challenges and bring better products to market.
From BP Chemicals to Impact Solutions
Impact Solutions was originally established as Impact Laboratories, growing out of the former BP Chemicals operation. From the beginning, the business combined technical consultancy, materials testing and product development expertise to support companies across the plastics and polymer supply chain.
Our early work focused on helping businesses understand the performance and behaviour of their materials, products and processes. Over time, our technical expertise, industry knowledge and ambition opened the door to new opportunities. We continued to explore new challenges, develop new expertise and apply what we knew in new ways.
This combination of experience, curiosity and ambition has shaped Impact Solutions and continues to influence where we go next.
